Endeavour Mining is one of the largest gold mining companies in the world, focused almost entirely on finding and digging up gold in West Africa. The company owns and operates several gold mines across countries like Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso, and Mali. It sells gold to refiners, banks, and commodity traders, making it part of the global precious metals supply chain.

Endeavour makes money by selling the gold it mines, with profits depending heavily on the market price of gold and how cheaply it can extract the metal from the ground. Its gross margin above 50% reflects relatively low production costs compared to the gold price, which is a key competitive advantage. However, operating in West Africa carries real political and security risks — several of its host countries have experienced military coups in recent years — and any disruption to mine operations or government relations could meaningfully hurt production and revenue.

Growth + cash flow

Endeavour Mining is a rare growth stock that's already generating positive cash flow while growing at 21%. The Winston Score doesn't fully credit this transition from "burner" to "earner."

The Winston Score above measures business quality today. Growth stocks often score lower because they invest in the future rather than maximising current profits. These metrics show what matters most for evaluating that future.
