National Australia Bank (NAB) is one of Australia's four largest banks, often called the "Big Four." It offers everyday banking services like checking accounts, savings accounts, home loans, and credit cards to millions of individual customers. It also provides business loans, financial planning, and corporate banking services to small businesses and large companies across Australia and New Zealand.

NAB makes most of its money from the difference between the interest it charges on loans and the interest it pays on deposits — a model called net interest income. It operates primarily in Australia and New Zealand, with some presence in Asia and the UK, and reported a market cap of roughly $92 billion. Being one of only four dominant banks in Australia gives NAB a strong competitive position, but its main risk is exposure to the Australian housing market, where high household debt levels and rising interest rates could increase loan defaults and pressure profitability.
