Oroco Resource Corp. is a Canadian junior mining exploration company focused on finding and developing copper deposits in Mexico. Its main asset is the Santo Tomás copper project in Sinaloa, Mexico, which is one of the larger undeveloped copper porphyry deposits in North America. The company does not yet produce or sell any metals — it is still in the exploration and resource definition stage.

Oroco makes no revenue right now. It funds its work by raising money from investors through stock offerings, which is typical for early-stage mining companies. Because it has no production, it has no profit margins, and spending on drilling and studies creates ongoing losses. The company's future depends almost entirely on whether Santo Tomás can be proven large and rich enough to attract a major mining partner or buyer. Rising global copper demand, driven by electric vehicles and clean energy infrastructure, is a tailwind, but permitting risks in Mexico and the need for significant future capital are the main challenges the company faces.
