Sturgis Bancorp is a small community bank holding company based in Sturgis, Michigan. It owns Sturgis Bank & Trust, which offers everyday banking services like checking and savings accounts, home loans, business loans, and wealth management. Its main customers are individuals, families, and small businesses in southwestern Michigan.

The company makes money primarily from the difference between the interest it charges on loans and the interest it pays on deposits, known as net interest income. It also earns fees from trust and wealth management services. Sturgis Bancorp operates a small network of branches concentrated in rural and small-town Michigan communities, giving it deep local relationships that larger national banks often lack in those markets. With a market cap of around $100 million, it is a very small bank, and its main risk is exposure to local economic conditions — if the regional economy weakens or interest rates shift unfavorably, loan defaults and shrinking margins could pressure earnings.
